Our Story

As of 2025, Mora & Memo enters a new chapter under the ownership of Alicia Banville. Guided by a deep respect for Sardinian tradition and a commitment to authenticity, her vision brings renewed energy while honoring the winery’s heritage. She is dedicated to sharing the elegance and soul of the island through every bottle.

Mora & Memo is inspired by the matriarchal traditions that make Sardinia truly unique. For generations, the island has been shaped by the guidance, influence, and strength of its women, whose leadership has preserved cultural heritage, united families, and defined Sardinia’s identity. The winery exists to honor this legacy, with each bottle expressing the resilience, elegance, and depth that embody the island’s matriarchs.

The name Mora & Memo carries deep meaning. Mora represents a personal interpretation of the feminine spirit imagined within the iconic Four Mori, the emblem of Sardinia. Memo evokes memory and origin, anchoring the winery in its most cherished values. Each wine is crafted to honor these ideals, inviting you to experience the essence of Sardinia and the enduring strength of the women who shape its story.
